GHP Community Health Workers Awarded for Extraordinary Service

On August 20, 2020, during the Virtual 13th Annual Community Health Worker Conference, the Mosley Team Award through Spectrum Health for Extraordinary Community Health Worker Service was awarded to our very own Genesee Health Plan CHW Team for their service and commitment to Flint area kids and their families.

The Spectrum Health Mosley Team Award for Extraordinary Community Health Worker Service recognizes and acknowledges outstanding service, dedication, and excellence. The Team award is presented to a CHW team who exemplifies excellence, accountability, compassion, integrity, respect, teamwork and collaborates to achieve significant and impactful accomplishments.

August is also Community Health Worker Appreciation Month! GHP acknowledges all of the Community Health Workers and their service to our community! Community health workers help deliver health and social services to under-served communities across Michigan through outreach, enrollment and patient education.

GHP has 18 CHW’s on staff, helping area schools, their students, families and Genesee County residents with their health care coverage needs and additional community resources. Throughout the month of August, we have been  featuring each Community Health Worker on our social media and website. Each CHW has an individual biography below, so you can get to know your CHW!
