Healthcare Marketplace


The Healthcare Marketplace is now closed for open enrollment.

You can apply for Marketplace insurance from November 1, 2019 through December 15, 2019. Coverage can begin as soon as January 1, 2020.

If you do not enroll in a 2019 health insurance plan by December 15, 2018 you can not enroll in a health insurance plan for 2019 unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP). Examples of Special Enrollment Qualifications are:

  • Loss of health coverage
  • Change in household size
  • Change in residence (zip code)
  • Citizenship status change
  • Release from incarceration
  • Marriage
  • Denied Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Plan (CHIP) coverage outside of open enrollment after you applied during open enrollment

* SEP are valid within 60 days of change

Call our office at 810-232-7740 and as to speak to an Enrollment Specialist if you believe you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.

Key Deadlines

Open Enrollment starts.
First day to enroll or change your 2018 insurance plan. Coverage can start as soon as January 1, 2020

Last day to enroll or change plans for new coverage to begin January 1, 2020

2020 coverage starts for those who enroll or change plans by December 15, 2019
