Genesee Health Plan Nominated for Flint & Genesee Group Art of Achievement Nonprofit Impact Award

The 10th Annual Art of Achievement awards were held Thursday, Nov. 7 at the FIM Capitol Theatre. The Flint & Genesee Group recognized business leaders, community champions, and hospitality professionals who have achieved notable success and outstanding accomplishments in their respective fields of industry.

Last night was truly amazing to celebrate so many organizations, nonprofits, professionals, and businesses and acknowledge their great work within the community at the Flint & Genesee Chamber Flint & Genesee Group Art of Achievement Awards. GHP is honored to have been nominated for the Nonprofit Impact Award. The Capitol Theatre was completely full with our community partners, and it was an honor to celebrate the work that we all do, making great strides to positively impact Genesee County and the City of Flint.

For the last two years, GHP has sponsored the Art Hurand Award, which recognizes outstanding community leaders, business leaders, and hospitality professionals in Flint and Genesee County and recognizes their philanthropic works for the communities they serve.

This year, Chris Flores, Legislative and Community Liaison for Genesee Health System, and former District Director for Congressman Dan Kildee, won the Art Hurand Award. Chris is no stranger to GHP, as we have worked with him for many years through Congressman Kildee’s office to inform about the Health Care Services Millage and help their constituents needing community resources and health care coverage. Congratulations to Chris and all the award winners and nominees!
